AUGUSTA, ME (09/05/2014)(readMedia)-- The AUSA is a private, non-profit organization supporting all components of the United States Army, including Active, National Guard, Reserve, Veterans, Wounded Warriors and their families. The Joshua Chamberlain Chapter is one of 125 chapters located worldwide. This chapter has made their mission to recognize, honor and support those who protect the people.
This year they will be honoring the top recruiters from the National Guard, army and Army Reserves, as well as a person of the year at the 19th Annual Joshua Chamberlain Lobster Bake, Rhumb Line Motor Lodge, Kennebunk, Maine. The event will start with the awards ceremony at 3:30 on Friday, Sept. 12. Maine Governor Paul LePage, First Lady Ann LePage will be in attendance, as well as the Adjutant General of Maine, Brig. Gen. James Campbell and his staff, along with other honored guests from all departments of the Army.

WHAT: | AUSA will formally award Pam Payeur, Executive Director of Wounded Heroes Program of Maine as their “Person of the Year.” Top recruiters from the Active Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserves will also be honored. Last year’s “Person of the Year,” First Lady Ann LePage and the Governor will be in attendance, along with selected guests for the Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserves. |
