American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania Welcomes Matthew G. Cummings, P.E. as President of the Board of Directors
Harrisburg, PA, May 16, 2016 – American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Matthew G. Cummings, P.E. as its new President of the Board of Directors. Mr. Cummings assumed office on May 10, 2016 for his one year term.
ACEC/PA is a nonprofit organization devoted exclusively to the promotion and enhancement of the business interests and profitability of engineering firms with offices in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Cummings currently serves as Executive Vice President with AECOM, an international infrastructure company with $19 Billion in annual revenues. He has 30 years of experience in the industry and currently leads the firm's $2 Billion transportation business in the Americas.
Matt has been with AECOM for 23 years, having begun in a start-up Philadelphia office of legacy company Frederic R Harris in 1993. He worked at regional engineering firms prior to joining AECOM and is a registered professional engineer in multiple states.
"ACEC/PA is excited to have Matt serve as President, and is looking forward to utilizing his experience and industry knowledge to further our ongoing efforts and to promote the organization's goals and strategic plan over the next year," said Eric Madden, ACEC/PA Executive Vice President.
Mr. Cummings succeeds former President Sean M. Henderson, PE, who serves as the Pennsylvania Transportation Practice Leader at TRC Companies, Inc. Mr. Henderson oversees the operations, business development, strategic planning, revenue responsibilities, and quality oversight for Pennsylvania. Additionally, he serves as project manager on several projects.
The ACEC/PA Board; Executive Vice President, Eric Madden; and staff thanks Mr. Henderson for his service as President and ongoing dedication to the organization.
"We are humbled by Sean's years of dedication to ACEC/PA and his efforts to expand and grow the organization during his tenure, his leadership will be greatly missed," said Madden.
