HARRISBURG, PA (06/14/2017) (readMedia)-- The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) is pleased to announce Joseph L. O'Neil, P.E., of Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani LLC (WBCM) as its new board president. O'Neil will serve a one-year term.
"ACEC/PA is excited to have Joe serve as board president. He brings an extensive range of experience and industry knowledge to the board, which will be useful in helping the association meet its strategic plan and goals in the coming year," said Eric Madden, ACEC/PA executive vice president.
O'Neil currently serves as an executive vice president and principal at WBCM, a multi-disciplined engineering firm providing solutions to the transportation, marine, facilities and industrial sectors throughout the Mid-Atlantic. With 27 years of experience, he serves as project manager on major contracts, oversees the operations, business development, strategic planning and quality assurance for the three Pennsylvania offices, and is active in the industry and community.
"I am truly honored and humbled to serve the ACEC/PA," said O'Neil, who resides in Hampden Township, Cumberland County. "I'm extremely proud of all that ACEC/PA has accomplished under the leadership of our past presidents, board members, committee chairs and committee members, and I look forward to leading this organization in the coming months."
O'Neil succeeds Matthew Cummings, P.E., who served as 2016-2017 board president.
