WHAT: Annual inspection tour of the Oswego Canal and the Erie Canal.
WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 13, and Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 (schedule is below; times subject to change).
WHERE: Oswego-Fulton area and Central New York
WHO: Canal Director Brian U. Stratton will meet with Canal workers, local officials and stakeholders. He will travel by tugboat for much of the Erie Canal tour. He will be available to the media to talk about the importance of the Canals to the economy of Upstate New York.
