WHAT: Annual inspection tour of the Erie Canal and the Cayuga-Seneca Canal

WHEN: Thursday, Oct. 6 and Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 (schedule is below; times subject to change).

WHERE: Rochester area and Central New York

WHO: Canal Director Brian U. Stratton will be traveling by tugboat. He will be meeting with Canal workers and local officials. He will be available to the media to talk about the importance of the Canals to the economy of Upstate New York.
