Media Availability with Acting Director James Sherry

WHAT: Acting Director Jim Sherry will make himself available to the media prior to the start of the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Public Meeting

The New York State Office of Homeland Security (NYSOHS) will be hosting a public information event to discuss continued use and development of its State Preparedness Training Center located at the former Oneida County Airport. Informational storyboards will be available for review, and NYSOHS staff available to discuss, the projects and uses of the site between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. NYSOHS will present a more formal presentation at 7:00 PM. The purpose of this event is to inform the public of the current and proposed uses and development projects. Comments and input regarding the event are welcomed as part of NYSOHS' effort to encourage public participation in its development projects.

WHEN: Media availability: Wednesday; May 26, 2010, 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

WHO: Members of the public are invited to the SEQR Public Meeting

(Media are invited to attend an informal question and answer session designed to help answer the public's inquiries as it relates to the SEQR Public Meeting and the State Preparedness Training Center.)
