AM Richardson, Maya Wiley, BK NAACP, Common Cause/NY Rally to Get Out the Safe IN PERSON Vote

New Yorkers who show up in the streets for Black Lives Matter have the choice to show up at the polls too

NEW YORK, NY (06/11/2020) (readMedia)-- On Friday, the day before Early Voting starts in New York, Assemblymember Diana Richardson, Maya Wiley, the Brooklyn NAACP, Common Cause/NY, and the Brooklyn Voters Alliance will join together to get out the safe vote. For close to two weeks, thousands of New Yorkers have marched for black lives across the city. Now elected officials and voting rights groups are reminding New Yorkers that they have the choice to show up in person and vote too.

Voters have three ways to cast their ballot this June: absentee, early, or on Election Day. Historically, black voters are more likely to vote early compared to white voters.
