Addison Irwin earns SAA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week Honor

Sophomore goalie John (Addison) Irwin of the Oglethorpe Men's Lacrosse team was named the Southern Athletic Association Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

In two wins against Averett University and Shorter University, Irwin earned a combined 30 saves and stopped 68.2 percent of opponents' shots. Against Averett, Irwin made 12 saves and had a 5.00 goals-against average. Then against Shorter, Irwin made 18 saves in a one-goal win, allowing only nine goals. He holds the early lead in the conference in saves (30), and is third in goals against average (7.00) and save percentage (.682).
