In early March, SUNY Delhi culinary arts management major Alexander Goldstein won the 2020 Chaine des Rotisseurs Northeast Regional Young Chef Competition, earning a spot in the national competition to be held at a future date.
In the competition, four contestants prepared three-course meals from mystery baskets. Each had 30 minutes to write a menu and 3.5 hours to prepare an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Only one protein, Cornish game hen, was revealed ahead of time. Contestants also had access to common stock items.
