Jim Henson's "Dinosaur Train LIVE!: Buddy's Big Adventure" features the beloved stars of the hit, Emmy Award-nominated PBS series in an interactive, musical show!

ROCHESTER, NY (04/02/2015)(readMedia)-- The Nazareth College Arts Center is proud to present Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train LIVE!: Buddy's Big Adventure on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Callahan Theater. The 75-minute family production is recommended for children ages 3+ and their families, and runs without an intermission. Ticket holders may also participate in a pre-performance activity (make-your-own dinosaur crafts) one hour before the start of their ticketed show; the activity is free to ticket holders however pre-registration is required at 585-389-2170.

ABOUT DINOSAUR TRAIN, THE LIVE STAGE PERFORMANCE

Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train LIVE!: Buddy's Big Adventure brings the beloved stars of the hit PBS series-Buddy, Tiny, Don, Mr. Conductor, Mrs. Pteranodon, and King-to the stage for the first time. This exciting original musical story features lush projected backgrounds, magical special effects that fill the theater, a full- sized replica of the Dinosaur Train, unique hybrid puppeteered characters, and an engaging live host.

Dinosaur Train LIVE!: Buddy's Big Adventure tells the story of Little Buddy, a proud Tyrannosaurus Rex living happily in the Pteranodon family nest. Curious about what will happen when he gets bigger and can't fit in the nest anymore, Buddy and the Pteranodons hop aboard the Dinosaur Train and set off on an adventure across the Mesozoic to see Buddy's good friend King Cryolophosaurus. But when King goes missing, Buddy and the gang sleuth out why he is hiding and-along the way-Buddy discovers what makes him special!

Jim Henson's Dinosaur Train LIVE!: Buddy's Big Adventure celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains, and treats families to a fun-filled, interactive trip back to an age when dinosaurs roamed the earth....and rode in trains!

ABOUT DINOSAUR TRAIN, THE PBS TELEVISION SERIES

The Emmy Award-nominated Dinosaur Train, created by Craig Bartlett, embraces and celebrates the fascination that preschoolers have with both dinosaurs and trains while encouraging basic scientific thinking and skills. Each episode includes animated segments with live-action sequences featuring a paleontologist who brings to life the show's natural science and natural history curriculum for preschoolers, giving specific facts about dinosaurs and comparing their features to animals of today. The series has been airing on PBS KIDS since September, 2009.
