ATLANTA, GA (04/26/2011)(readMedia)-- Brittany Weiner, a junior at Oglethorpe University, presented original research at the 2011 meeting of the Southeastern Psychological Association, and won the award for top undergraduate research paper on Minority issues. Her paper, titled "Attitudes Toward Transsexual Parenting," earned her a cash prize. Among the few undergraduates participating in the conference, Weiner also presented another topic, "Coping and its relationship to perfectionism and test anxiety." This study was selected as one of the best submissions and was showcased on the first night of the conference along with other highly-rated research projects.
