HOUGHTON, MI (02/03/2014)(readMedia)-- Michigan Tech's Austin Armga has been named to the 2013-14 Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District IV First Team.
Armga, from Waupun, and Ben Stelzer of Manitowoc were two of the five selected from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Great Midwest Conference.
Armga, a senior, has been in the top five in the nation in scoring all season. He is currently averaging 24.4 points per game while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. Armga has a 3.78 grade point average in exercise science.
Stelzer, a junior, is one of the nation's leaders in 3-point shooting. He is scoring 18 points per game and making 4.1 threes per game. Stelzer owns a 3.74 grade point average in finance.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later next month.
