Art, Music and Literature Fill the Day

DELHI, NY (07/13/2011)(readMedia)-- It's less than one month until ART + SOUL of the CATSKILLS returns to Delhi, NY. Saturday, August 6th from 10 am to 5pm on the historic Courthouse Square artists, musicians, writers and poets will gather to educate intrigue and delight you. Presented by The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The Roxbury Arts Group, the Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild, the West Kortright Centre and Bright Hill Press, the festival will present fine art as well as artisan crafts, poetry, literature, music, dance and locally sourced food, wines and beers! And, for the first time in this area, a locally produced COMPLAINTS CHOIR! Held rain or shine, this event is free and open to the public.

Works by over 30 Fine Artist and Artisans will be available for browsing and purchase including paintings, watercolors, mixed media and two dimensional works of art for sale. Fine Crafters and regional Artisans will offer demonstrations as well as original works of pottery, fiber art, jewelry, and art glass, among others, for sale.

Other events will include live music at the band stand sponsored by the West Kortright Centre, a dance recital presented by the Cardio Club, readings throughout the day by regional poets and writers organized by the Bright Hill Press, and tastings of New York State wines, beers and locally produced food products.

A "first time ever" in Delaware County, a Free Community Music Project, a Community Complaints Choir, will also be a feature of the festival.
