Ashley Arbo Of Kensington, Connecticut Named GNAC Swimmer of the Week

CHICOPEE, MA (12/15/2009)(readMedia)-- Elms College sophomore swimmer Ashley Arbo of Kensington, Connecticut was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference's (GNAC) Swimmer of the week for the week of Dec. 7-13 as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Arbo clocked a top time in the 100-yard freestyle (58.36) and a third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:53.51) - both for new school records. Arbo also added a victory in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 30.22, scoring a total of 21 points for the meet. This is Arbo's second swimmer of the week award this season.
