SPRINGFIELD, IL (03/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Warrant Officer David Miller Jr. of Athens, with the Illinois Army National Guard's Joint Force Headquarters for the Illinois National Guard, was promoted to the rank of chief warrant officer (2) March 7 at Camp Lincoln in Springfield.

Miller enlisted into the Illinois Army National Guard in 2004 and later commissioned as a warrant officer in 2009. Miller serves as the executive personnel branch chief for the Illinois National Guard.
