ATLANTA, GA (05/17/2011)(readMedia)-- Oglethorpe University honored outstanding alumni and faculty at its 2011 Alumni Weekend annual gala awards ceremony. Atlanta's Yetty Levenson Arp, a 1968 graduate of Oglethorpe University, was awarded the Talmage Award. The Talmage Award is presented to a recipient who contributes time, talent or financial resources to one or more programs of the university and/or is distinguished in the business or professional world.
Arp was a member of the Oglethorpe University Board of Trustees from 1996 to 2010, and served on the President's Advisory Council from 1984-1996. During her 35-year career as a commercial broker, Arp was Vice President of Southeast Commercial Properties and Vice President of Easlan Capital of Atlanta. In January 2010, Arp affiliated with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty. In her first year, she was elected to the Atlanta Board of Realtors' prestigious Multi Million Dollar Club for 2010. She has been active in the Atlanta community for decades, serving on numerous boards and chairing countless events.
