CAZENOVIA, NY (07/22/2010)(readMedia)-- Cazenovia College's Summer Art Series will culminate with an auction of Lucy Eliot paintings, and a raffle of several works that were part of the 2010 Summer Art Series. The proceeds will provide funds to continue the Summer Art Series in the future.

The gallery will open as usual at 1 p.m., followed by a formal preview and reception at 3:30 p.m., concluding with the Lucy Eliot Art Auction beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The auctioneer is Michael Sickler, professor emeritus, painting, drawing and art history, Syracuse University. Professor Sickler served as art auctioneer for WCNY's annual auction for many years. The paintings offered are from a collection donated to the College by Lucy Eliot in order to promote the arts in the Cazenovia area.
