Audrey Zapletal Honored at Thomas Jefferson University's Annual Awards Ceremony

PHILADELPHIA, PA (09/13/2011)(readMedia)-- Audrey Zapletal, MS, OTR/L, a Philadelphia, PA resident, originally from Jackson, MS, and Jefferson School of Health Professions (JSHP) faculty member, was recognized for her dedication to higher education at Jefferson's Annual Awards Ceremony in June.

Ms. Zapletal, an instructor in the JSHP's Department of Occupational Therapy, accepted the Fred & Sadye Abrams Award for Excellence in Clinical or Laboratory Instruction for her exceptional ability to foster learning in the clinical or laboratory setting. "Audrey is an amazing teacher who is able to explain complicated material in an accessible way," remarked presenter Janice P. Burke, PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA, Dean of JSHP. "She is breaking new ground in educational methods and her work as brought national attention to the Jefferson OT program."
