B-I-N-G-O AT THE IOWA STATE FAIR

DES MOINES, IA (08/01/2018) (readMedia)-- On Wednesday, August 15, Fairgoers are invited to participate in, for the first time ever, Bingo on Grand Avenue. Games will be played from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. To play, participants donate $1 per card for each game. Winners receive 50% of the total earnings per game. Fairgoers can have a seat, play an exciting game of Bingo, win prize money, and most importantly support the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation.

An Iowa treasure, the Iowa State Fairgrounds is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Fair has gained international fame through the years. It plays a vital role in Iowa's economy while upholding the link between Iowa's work ethic, achievement and talent. The Fair is a tradition any Iowan can be proud of, and the Blue Ribbon Foundation is dedicated to continuing that legacy.

The Blue Ribbon Foundation encourages the public to attend this year's Iowa State Fair, August 9-19. As you stroll through the Fairgrounds this August, please notice the many improvements made possible through the support of Fair-lovers. Enjoy a concert in the Grandstand and see the 4,000 additional seats, new restrooms, and a bigger stage. The new Kum & Go Stage will provide an exceptional entertainment experience.

You can check out the upgraded Milking Parlor glass that will enhance a Fairgoer's view of the milking process. The interior of the restroom facility west of the Administration Building has also been updated. The new concrete along East 31st street, sidewalks, and landscaping will improve the flow of traffic in front of the Elwell Family Food Center.

The Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Since its inception in 1993, the Foundation has raised more than $138 million, through individual contributions, state appropriations, in-kind services, and corporate, federal and state grants – and for the first time ever - BINGO!
