BALCONY Albany Benefit Performance "God of Carnage"
May 23,2012 at the Capital Repertory Theatre in Albany, NY
NEW YORK, NY (04/03/2012)(readMedia)-- On May 23, 2012, BALCONY, The Business and Labor Coalition of New York will host a benefit performance of God of Carnage at the Capital Repertory Theatre, 111 North Pearl St., Albany, NY.
At the same time, BALCONY will honor Co-Chairs Catherine Abate, Alan Lubin, and Robert Hayes at a cocktail party in the lobby of the theatre which begins at 6 PM and will run until curtain time at 7:30 PM (sponsorships are available.)
God of Carnage-the celebrated, Tony Award winning (2009) Broadway comedy, is set in a gentrified section of Brooklyn where two married couples meet to sort out a playground fight between their sons. At first, niceties are observed, but as the evening progresses and the rum flows, the gloves come off and the night becomes a side-splitting free-for-all.
The Broadway production originally starred James Gandolfini, Marcia Gay Harden, and Jeff Daniels. The Albany production stars: Brigitte Viellieu (Veronica), Ken Krugman (Michael), Michael McKenzie (Alan), and Brenny Rebine (Annette)
Sponsorship packages for this BALCONY Benefit range from $500 to $5,000. Tickets to the event including the cocktail party are $50 for general admission, $75 for Rear Orchestra, $100 for Orchestra and $150 for Premium Seating.
