BCD Students cut, sew, iron, fold, and bundle receiving blankets to be sent to Haiti

LENOX, MA (01/25/2010)(readMedia)-- This past Saturday, over 30 BCD community members, including Upper School students, their parents, faculty, and friends, turned out to sew receiving blankets for the relief efforts in Haiti. Under the organization of BCD Parent Tina Petricca, the gym was transformed into a work station where everyone got involved in fabric cutting, sewing, ironing, folding, and bundling. Over 200 blankets were prepared and will be hand delivered by Sister Eunice Tassone, director of COTY Haiti Plunge of North Adams, in February when she returns to Haiti.
