Do you find yourself scolding, praising, and disciplining your children just as your parents did? What comes naturally in your parenting style is often not optimal. Join Great Barrington-based Clinical Psychologist Dr. Michael Lipson for an interactive discussion that will address:
  • the current research on the interplay between family-of-origin and contemporary parenting styles,
  • the role our OWN parents play in our current parenting style, and
  • what works and what doesn’t work in our lives and how we can become more successful parents.

Michael Lipson, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Great Barrington, MA. A George Soros Faculty Scholar, he was for many years the Chief Psychologist in Pediatric AIDS at New York's Harlem Hospital and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
