Bay Shore Student Receives Top Service Award

RIVERDALE, NY (05/20/2013)(readMedia)-- Riverdale, N.Y. – The College of Mount Saint Vincent is proud to announce Kristina de Leon from Bay Shore, NY, has received the Margaret Catterson McKee Award for Service, given to the graduating senior for outstanding volunteer service both on and off campus.

During her time at the College, de Leon has volunteered for Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. She is a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma Honors Society. In 2013, she successfully completed her honors thesis titled "The importance of prenatal care and health teaching and its effects on neonatal health and development" .

A nursing major, Ms. de Leon received the award at the 101st Commencement on Saturday, May 18th , 2013 before an audience of students, faculty, administrators, trustees, parents and honored guests.
