STOCKBRIDGE/LENOX, MA (09/22/2016)(readMedia)-- Berkshire Country Day School, an independent school for students in Preschool through Grade 9, has announced its Fall Toddler Playgroups, called "Little Penguins" after the School's mascot. These are three-week sessions for children aged two to three and parents or caregivers, and will be held on consecutive Tuesdays, October 18, October 25, and November 1, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Additional sessions will be scheduled for Winter/Spring 2017.
"Little Penguins" is a free play and discovery series for two and three-year-olds. These teacher-led sessions are an opportunity for curious little learners to investigate the world around them. Each gathering will be informed by the Reggio Emilia model upon which BCD's Preschool is based. Hands-on activities will include crafts, music, puppet play, and "invitation stations" that encourage the children to explore and create as curricular themes are introduced. Siblings are welcome, and registration is required at berkshirecountryday.org/penguins.
