Eighteen students in Grades 7 through 9 have collaborated since December to produce the project which explores teenage stereotypes, the unconscious, and the study of dreams. The piece breaks conventional theatre forms while exposing students to nontraditional processes to developing new work. The play is directed by Amy Brentano, BCD's Theater and Film Director, with students participating in all aspects of the production, including set design, publicity, lighting, props, and costumes. The evening is a showcase for a multitude of student talents.
"These students have exhibited great leaps of faith, courage, and talent in collaborating to produce this body of work. They never fail to amaze me and leave me believing that they, indeed, can change the world in a most positive way," says Brentano.
