BINGHAMTON, NY (06/25/2012)(readMedia)-- The Binghamton University Alumni Association has elected Edgar Levy of Youngsville, NC, to its Board of Directors. His term of service begins July 1. The board is composed of 21 volunteers who are active in planning events and programs for an alumni body of more than 110,000.
Levy, who earned his bachelor's degree in mathematical sciences and studio art from Binghamton in 1985, is a licensed engineer and facilities project manager for North Carolina State University. Levy also earned a degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University in 1996. During his time as a student in Binghamton, Levy was involved with the Newing College residential community and, as a graduate, was a driving force behind his class year's 25-year reunion. As a member of the North Carolina Association of Physical Plant Administrators, he presents papers on facility repair and renovation at a yearly statewide conference. He also mentors a future engineer's competition at a Raleigh-area middle school, and is a volunteer instructor during Engineer's Week.
