Allison Wiseman crowned Homecoming Queen at Olivet

BOURBONNAIS, IL (11/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Allison Wiseman from Bradford, Ohio, became the 58th Homecoming Queen for Olivet Nazarene University during the coronation ceremony on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Chosen by her peers for this honor, Wiseman is a senior and leader among the student body. She is the daughter of Mark and Bobbi Wiseman.

A nursing major, Wiseman is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society. This past summer, she traveled with Olivet's nursing department on a medical mission trip to Argentina. While at Olivet, she has sung with Chrysalis Women's Choir and Proclamation Gospel Choir, and traveled for two years with The Olivetians ministry team.

Escorting Wiseman was Calum Samuelson (Federal Way, Wash.).

Other members of the 2012 Homecoming Court, all seniors, are: Lauren Beatty (Kankakee, Ill.), escorted by Jeremy Height (Indianapolis, Ind.); Cassidy Lancaster (Lakeland, Fla.), escorted by Michael Doherty (Fenton, Mich.); Whitney (Swick) Means (originally from Grinnell, Iowa), escorted by her husband, Seth Means (originally from Honey Creek, Iowa) of Bourbonnais; Taylor Polatas (Kent, Ohio), escorted by Josue Sanchez (Morelia, Mexico).

Olivet's Homecoming Queen and members of her Court have been honored each year since 1955. The Queen is a senior woman chosen by the student body. She is person of integrity; gives glory to God in her life; helps others feel loved and accepted; and expresses Olivet's academic, social, and spiritual ideals.
