Brookhaven Resident Jeffrey Palframan Receives the James Edward Oglethorpe Award

ATLANTA, GA (06/10/2013)(readMedia)-- Brookhaven resident Jeffrey Palframan, a 2013 Oglethorpe University graduate, was awarded the esteemed James Edward Oglethorpe Award during the university's commencement ceremony on May 18, 2013. The award is presented annually to the man and woman in the graduating class who, in the opinion of the faculty, have excelled in scholarship, leadership and character.

A history major, Palframan successfully completed the Honors Program and will be pursuing his master's in history. Palframan is the founder and president of the Oglethorpe Veterans' Club. He also served as president of Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society and was member of Oglethorpe's Honor Council. Originally from Ontario, Canada, Palframan is a graduate of Ottawa Torah Institute High School.
