Brooklyn, NY Native Awarded Fox's Rising Apprentice Scholarship

RALEIGH, NC (08/17/2012)(readMedia)-- Saint Augustine's University student, Princess Goodridge was recently awarded the 2012-2013 Fox News Channel University/Ailes Rising Apprentice Scholarship. Each scholarship recipient will receive a $10,000 scholarship and will begin a paid internship at Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network beginning in the summer of 2013 at either the network's New York or Washington, DC newsroom.

In 2011, Fox News Channel (FNC) selected Saint Augustine's University as one of two 2011-2012 nationwide partners for its Fox News Channel University /Ailes Rising Apprentice scholarship.

Goodridge, a native of New York, is a senior majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in broadcast journalism at SAU.

"The fact that FOX selected another SAU student suggests that SAU and its departments are doing an effective job of preparing students academically," stated Dr. Dianne Boardley Suber, president of Saint Augustine's University. "This is yet another great measure of a positive student outcome."

SAU graduate, Sakeeda Freeman, was the 2011-2012 Fox's Rising Apprentice scholarship recipient.
