Business Council hosts annual Conference on State Taxation April 24-25

Commissioner of New York State Department of Taxation and Finance Keynote Speaker

ALBANY, NY (04/02/2013)(readMedia)-- The Honorable Thomas H. Mattox, Commissioner of the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, will be the keynote speaker at The Business Council of New York State, Inc.'s Annual Conference on State Taxation at The Desmond Hotel & Conference Center April 24-25. The two-day conference will focus on the latest business and corporate tax issues and how they impact businesses in New York State. Agenda topics include the economic impact of federal and state tax policy; personal income tax reform and examination of Sub S/LLC/Partnership issues.

Providing New York State Taxation and Finance administrative updates will be Deborah R. Liebman, deputy counsel, who will give a update on the state budget and tax legislation; Margaret M. Sherman, deputy commissioner, Processing & Taxpayer Services, who will discuss online taxpayer services, and Nonie Manion, director of tax audits, who will discuss audit work design.
