ALBANY, NY (05/02/2012)(readMedia)-- The Business Council of New York State, Inc. will hold a Chamber Executive Summit at The Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, New York, on June 8. The state's primary advocacy group for businesses says that it is bringing the Chambers together to provide a strong voice for economic growth, good jobs and strong communities. Registration is still available.
A highlight of the summit will be president and CEO Heather Briccetti's presentation, "How to Make Your Voice Heard in Albany." She will discuss The Business Council's aggressive Fix New York e-advocacy program.
"Employers and their employees want to know about the issues that are affecting their businesses and their jobs," said Briccetti. "It's critical during these tough economic times that they make their voices heard in Albany on issues that affect their bottom lines and their paychecks."
Chamber executives also will get updates on the New York gaming industry and learn about a groundbreaking afterschool program that transforms local middle and high school students into confident entrepreneurs.
Albany-based Gramercy Communications will hold a forum called "Social Media and Your Chamber." Company founder Tom Nardacci, Gramercy vice-president Eric Wohlleber and Sara Wallace of Destiny USA will discuss how Chambers can enhance communication with members through popular social platforms.
Business Council Director of Communications Rob Lillpopp will discuss his organization's new Made in New York website, which will feature member products and services.
"The Made in New York website is intended to be a place where the public can easily find the many products which are made and sold in New York," said Briccetti. "It's a call to buy in New York. The more we can create good business, the better we can strengthen our economy and create meaningful jobs."
