C-130 Aircraft, Crew Returns from Hurricane Harvey Relief
SPRINGFIELD, IL (09/06/2017) (readMedia)-- Media will have the opportunity to film a C-130 returning from Hurricane Harvey relief efforts as it lands and interview the aircraft crew Sept. 6, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. at the 182nd Airlift Wing, 2416 S Falcon Blvd, Peoria, Illinois 61607.

WHAT: | • Media is invited to see a C-130 aircraft and crew return home after helping with Hurricane Harvey Response. • Media will have the opportunity to film the C-130 as it lands and interview the Airmen. |

NOTES: | • Media personnel who wish to participate in this event must RSVP to the Illinois Air National Guard’s 182nd Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office at 309-633-5119 no later than noon, today, Sept. 6.• Contact the Illinois National Guard Public Affairs Office for more information. • The crew joined the federal Hurricane Harvey relief and recovery efforts on Aug. 31 and began transporting people, supplies and equipment. • As of Sept. 2 the crew had transported more than 60 evacuees including 20 children, four disabled adults and approximately 3,000 pounds of personal belongings. They also delivered more than 7,500 pounds of relief supplies and equipment. |
