CAZENOVIA, NY (04/07/2011)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host exhibitions of work by seniors in its Art and Design classes.
Caitlin E. Klammer is a senior from East Stroudsburg, Pa., who is majoring in studio art specializing in photography. She created a postcard to promote her show, titled "Offshore." The show runs from April 18 - 24, with an artists' reception on April 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Summer hours vary.
She writes, "I show an insiders view of the beauty, enticement, and power of the offshore world, creating an invitation to view the inside world of surfing on the east coast, and the culture of the countless people that are part of it. I use different types of film photography, such as: large format, 120mm, and 35mm to show the rawness and imperfections that happen while photographing, which make this watery world so incising. I also photograph using digital photography, so I am able to capture sharper images of the actions that represent the surfing world."
