CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (03/04/2019) (readMedia)-- Campbellsville University's Virginia Ponser Flanagan Technology Training Center (CUTTC) is offering a variety of certificates in a program known as CU Expand.

Jason Roop, director of the Technology Training Center, said CU Expand offers certificates in "project management, STEM and business leadership including power systems, defense technology, advanced problem solving, cybersecurity, data analysis and many more."

The new course offerings launched in February and can be completed in as little as six months, if not sooner. Unlike a typical bachelor's degree, there are no general education requirements that must be met before completion of the certification's requirements.

All certifications are available online and Roop said, "This will help diversity and expand our professional course offerings for adult learners." The CUTTC, due to the course offerings, is able to think in a unique way when it comes to planning educational training for today's adults and the economy, Roop said.

Due to the certificates being fully online, they can be started at any time. Waiting for the next course to become available isn't necessary.

Whether an individual is looking to upgrade skills in his or her current field or looking to train in a new area, the CU Expand Professional Certificates can help develop career tracks. "Our programs are designed with the needs of working adults in mind, with evening and weekend class sessions and at a moderate cost," Roop said.

The CU Expand programs are accredited through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Project Management Institute, Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Continuing Professional Education Provider (CPE) and Online Marketing Certified Professional (OMCP).

According to Roop, there are 20 certificates being offered in the program. The certificates are as follows:

Certificate in Entrepreneurship; Certificate in Cybersecurity; Certificate in Human Resource; Certificate in Leadership; Certificate in Managing Change and Resolving Conflict; Certificate in Negotiation; Certificate in Nonprofit Management; Certificate in Sustainable Management; Certificate in Agile Project Management; Certificate in Data Analytics; Certificate in Online Learning;

Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Exam; Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Exam; Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification Exam; Certificate in Business Communications; Certificate in Creativity and Innovation; Certificate in Finance Essentials; Certified Global Business; Professional (CGBP) Exam Prep; and Certificate in Digital Marketing.

When someone completes the required courses for a certification, they receive a credential showing they possess in-depth expertise in their specialized field. The certificates offered through CU Expand will allow students to gain credentials that will help them stand out in a competitive workplace.
