Canal Corporation Announces Temporary Closure of Canalway Trail in Town of Ogden, Monroe County

Embankment Repairs Scheduled for Weekdays Beginning April 4

ALBANY, NY (03/25/2011)(readMedia)-- The New York State Canal Corporation today announced the temporary weekday closure for repairs of a one-mile section of Canalway Trail near Trimmer Road in the Town of Ogden of Monroe County.

The trail will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Monday, April 4, 2011, from a point 1,500 feet west of Trimmer Road to 2,000 feet west of Trimmer Road. No work is scheduled for weekends or evenings.

The project is expected to be completed in about one week.

The temporary closure is necessary to allow Canal Corporation crews to repair the canal embankment.
