CHESTERTOWN, MD (04/15/2013)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Cara Murray '14 of Frederick, MD recently co-authored a paper with Psychology Department Chair Lauren Littlefield. Presented at the 119th annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association in New York City, the paper is entitled "Induced Frustration Reduces Performance on a Subsequent Cognitive Task." The goal of Murray and Littlefield's research was to investigate the role that frustration plays when testing individuals and to see whether or not individuals with traumatic brain injuries would suffer greater deficits in this scenario.
Murray is majoring in both environmental studies and psychology. She is a member of the Student Environmental Alliance, the Psychology Club, Psi Chi, Service Council and the Independent Playhouse. A graduate of Brunswick High School, Murray is a Darbee Scholar.
