Chicago Businessman Becomes College Board Trustee

BELOIT, WI (09/13/2011)(readMedia)-- A Chicago businessman was recently elected to the board of trustees for Beloit College (Wis.).

Charles P. McQuaid will join the ranks of the college's board of trustees when it convenes for its fall meeting in October, and he will serve a three-year term expiring in 2014.

McQuaid, the president and chief investment officer at Columbia Wanger Asset Management in Chicago, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. The chartered financial analyst and his wife have been co-chairs of the Beloit College Parents Fund Committee since 2009-2010, and they have been supporters of the Renewing the Historic Core project, an initiative to restore Beloit's historically important campus buildings. Their son graduated from Beloit College last May.
