Yorkville native wins multiple student-athlete awards

BELOIT, WI (05/02/2014)(readMedia)-- Lauren McNanna, a Yorkville native, won multiple awards at Beloit College's 2013-14 Student-Athletic Activities Committee Banquet on April 30. McNanna is a senior women's basketball player.

McNanna won the Ruth Peterson Award, given to the senior female athlete who best exemplifies the qualities of an athlete, scholar and leader, and the Blanket Award, which is the highest honor an active Beloit College senior athlete can receive and is one of the criteria for election to the Beloit College Athletic Hall of Honor.

Beloit College is a residential, liberal arts college offering 40 majors to its 1,250 students. Located 90 miles northwest of Chicago, Beloit is one of the nation's most international colleges, drawing students from 41 nations as well as 49 states.
