ATLANTA, GA (04/13/2010)(readMedia)-- Oglethorpe University will induct alumna Christine Scarborough '00 into its Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of her achievements on the University's women's soccer team. The honor will be given during the 175th Anniversary Gala and Awards Banquet on Friday, April 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at The Retreat of Dunwoody at Perimeter Summit in Atlanta, Georgia.
Born and raised in the Atlanta area, Christine Scarborough '00 is a graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville, Ga. While at Oglethorpe, Scarborough served as captain of women's soccer during her senior year. She was a four-time All-SCAC performer and finished her career with 51 goals (most in women's history at OU), 21 assists and 122 total points in 66 games (most in OU women's soccer history). She was named First Team All-Conference in 1997, 1998, and 1999.
Scarborough graduated from Oglethorpe in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Computer Science. After graduation, she worked as an account executive for a technology firm. She currently lives in Tucker, Ga. and is self-employed.
