ALBANY, NY (09/06/2017) (readMedia)-- A small church in Albany NY who owns and runs a City Kids Smoothie truck to help nurish at risk children throughout the year decided that Houston could use some help at this time. With no time to spare Pastor Charlie Muller and his daughter held a benifit concert for the Harvey victims to help with sending tractor trailers full of much needed supplies to the Houston area.
Thursday was the last day that the City Kids Smoothie truck was feeding children in Albany and Troy NY with summer coming to an end the truck was now free to make the trip to Houston. Wasteing no time the truck was loaded with seven thousand dollars worth of product and on August 31st at 10:30 P.M. after the benifit concert it departed from Albany to Houston only stopping for gas.
The truck arrived at 6:30 A.M. Sept 2nd. and was serving smoothies to victims at 10:30 A.M. in a housing project where people were in dire need.
Every day has been and adventure for the Pastor and his daughter and on Monday they ended up helping hundreds of volunteers at Second Baptist Church Of Houston with Pastor Ed Young the church welcomed them with open arms and were so grateful to be refreashed by the freash smoothies.
Tuesday was another long day with a trip to Port Arthur serving families who lost everything in the flooding then going to the Mark Stiles mens Prison serving many of the gaurds who were unloading trucks at the prison for some of the victims.
Today the City Kids Smoothie truck will be at the Shelters in Houston serving many of the victims.
