Cold Spring Student Receives Marjorie Walsh, S.C. Memorial Award

RIVERDALE, NY (05/20/2013)(readMedia)-- The College of Mount Saint Vincent is proud to announce Kimberly Hyatt has received this year's Marjorie Walsh, S.C. Memorial Award, given to an outstanding English major with the highest grade point average.

During her time at the College, Ms. Hyatt interned at the Riverdale Review. She is the local chapter President of the English Honors Society, Sigma Tau Delta. After graduation, she hopes to return to Cold Spring and work in local journalism. English faculty have described Ms. Hyatt as a "talented, bright and driven student deeply invested in the department."

Ms. Hyatt received the award during the 101st Baccalaureate Awards and Hooding Ceremony on Friday, May 17th 2013 before an audience of students, faculty, administrators, trustees, parents and honored guests.
