Community & Labor Leaders, Advocates Honor Workers Killed on the Job During Superstorm Sandy, Push for Reform

To Commemorate Workers' Memorial Day, Advocates Push for Stronger Enforcement of Workplace Safety Laws

ALBANY, NY (04/29/2013)(readMedia)-- Community and labor leaders and workplace safety advocates will gather at the parking garage where an attendant drowned during Superstorm Sandy.

Among those speaking at the commemoration will be Congressman Jerrold Nadler, (D-NY10), Vincent Alvarez, President of the New York City Central Labor Council.

The event is sponsored by the New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (NYCOSH), the NYC Central Labor Council, and the Greater New York Labor Religion Coalition.
