Concordia University Inducts Alumni Into Athletic Hall of Fame

ST. PAUL, MN (10/07/2010)(readMedia)-- Renae Fox '92, of Revillo, S.D., was inducted into the Concordia University, St. Paul, Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.

Fox graduated from Grant Deuel High School in Revillo, S.D., and went on to graduate from Concordia in 1992. As an athlete for the Comets, Renae helped lead the team to a 1989 NLCAA National Tournament Runner-Up finish and the following year was selected to the 1990-91 Northern District NSCAA All-Tournament Team. That same year, she earned the Comet Award and as a senior was named a 1991-92 All-Upper Midwest Conference (UMAC) selection. She lettered four times and earned the Most Improved Award in 1989-90. In addition to her athletic achievements, Renae was named to the 1990-91 Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges and received the 1991 Department of Business and Economics Award.

After Concordia, Fox has enjoyed a successful career as a benefits specialist for the State of South Dakota and is also a Sunday School teacher. She began her professional career at her alma mater, Concordia, and has since worked as a bank teller, day care provider and a homemaker.

The Athletic Hall of Fame, formed in 1992, pays tribute and gives recognition to former athletic letter winners, coaches and others who have made exceptional contributions to the athletic programs of Concordia. The University inducts athletes biennially at homecoming.
