Concordia University Inducts Savage Resident Into Athletic Hall of Fame

ST. PAUL, MN (10/11/2010)(readMedia)-- Dave Johnson '98, of Savage, Minn., was inducted into the Concordia University, St. Paul, Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.

Johnson graduated from Concordia in 1998, where his name is written all over the baseball record books. As a standout hitter and pitcher, he led the Comets to the 1995 Upper Midwest Conference (UMAC) Championship and the 1997 UMAC Co-Championship. Until 2010, Johnson held career records for games played (168), at bats (529), hits (178) and doubles (41). The career .337 hitter held the record of doubles with 18 until 2006. In 227.2 innings, Johnson struck out 244 batters and averaged 9.65 strikeouts per game, which both records held up until 2009.

Johnson now owns Imperial Home Improvement where he also serves as a general contractor. Him and his wife, Colleen, have a daughter, Megan, and a son, Nick.
