GENESEO, NY (05/09/2013)(readMedia)-- GENESEO, N.Y. -- Faculty members at the State University of New York at Geneseo have elected a local student to the college's chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest and most widely known academic honor society.
Cory Young, a senior from Pittsford, N.Y. (14534), was among 75 selected for membership this spring from Geneseo's junior and senior classes.
About 10 percent of the nation's institutions of higher learning have a Phi Beta Kappa chapter. Geneseo is the only undergraduate SUNY college with a chapter, which was created in 2004.
