CHESTERTOWN, MD (04/10/2012)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Darcy Klinedinst '13, daughter of Jim and Michelle Klinedinst, Dagsboro, DE, participated with Habitat for Humanity during her spring break. She traveled to Columbus, GA, as part of Habitat for Humanity's Collegiate Challenge Program in a partnership with NeighborWorks Columbus. This was the College program's 13th alternative Spring Break trip, and 31 students, three staff members, and one faculty member made the journey, as the largest Collegiate Challenge team fielded by Washington College yet.

Klinedinst is majoring in English with a concentration in secondary education. She is involved with Habitat for Humanity, the Student Environmental Alliance, the Washington College Equestrian Western Team, the Equestrian Club, and Pi Lambda Theta, an education honor society. She is also a Writing Center tutor. Klinedinst graduated from Indian River High School.

Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in colonial Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
