ALBANY, NY (08/26/2010)(readMedia)-- WAMC Northeast Public Radio will host a live, one-hour debate between the candidates for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General of New York State Wednesday, September 1st at 11 a.m. at the Linda Norris Auditorium in Albany.
All five candidates - Senator Eric Schneiderman, Nassau County D.A. Kathleen Rice, attorney Sean Coffey, Former New York State Insurance Superintendent Eric Dinallo, and Assemblyman Richard Brodsky - were invited to partake in the debate, which comes less than two weeks before the primary.
"As our listeners know, WAMC has always been in the forefront of offering all sides an opportunity to speak before crucial elections," said Dr. Alan Chartock, President and CEO of WAMC. "We are proud to be offering this live, exciting debate for those who feel that they really want to know who's who and what's what."
Chartock will host the debate and serve as moderator alongside Judy Patrick, managing editor of the Daily Gazette.
Admission to the debate is free, but attendees are encouraged to make reservations at 1-800-323-9262 ext 145. Doors will open at 10 a.m. The debate begins promptly at 11 a.m.
