Dedication Ceremony Planned for 47th Memorial on the Capitol

Teacher Memorial Honors All Iowa Educators

DES MOINES, IA (05/03/2012)(readMedia)-- Over 100 people are expected to attend a memorial dedication ceremony honoring Iowa teachers at the Iowa State Capitol at 12:00 noon on Sunday, May 6. The ceremony will dedicate a new memorial placed on the Capitol Complex. This marks the 47th memorial to be placed at the Captiol.

Speakers include Jason Glass, Iowa Director of Education, Chris Bern, ISEA President, Charity Campbell, Iowa Teacher of the Year, Dwight Watson, Dean of Education of the University of Northern Iowa, Tim O'Hagan, President of IAHPERD, and Debra Stephenson, Vice PResident of Health for IAHPERD.

Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) and the Iowa Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (IAPHERD).
