Deming Appointed SUNY Delhi College Council Chair

DELHI, NY (02/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Nancy K. Deming, Esq. has been appointed by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo as chair of the SUNY Delhi College Council.

The College Council is a 10-member body, with each member being appointed on a rotating basis. The primary function of the Council is to serve as an advisory board to the college president. All positions on the Council are non-salaried.

Deming is a matrimonial and family law litigator with over 30 years' experience. She began practicing in New York City in 1980 and then became a partner of Newhouse & Deming in 1985. Deming brought her practice to Delhi in 1992 and joined the Delaware County Bar Association. A member for over 20 years, she served as president from 2007 -2009.

Deming is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, specifically in Family Law. She holds a bachelor's degree from New York University and was admitted to practice law after serving a clerkship with a small Wall Street law firm.

Deming is actively involved in her community and has served as a member and president of the Delhi Central School District Board of Education.
