Downtown Albany Park Dedication

Maiden Lane Park to be Renamed and Dedicated to Jim DiNapoli

ALBANY, NY (09/23/2013)(readMedia)-- In honor and memory of Jim DiNapoli's commitment to downtown Albany, the small urban park known as Maiden Lane Park, located on Broadway between Pine Street and Maiden Lane, will be renamed Jim DiNapoli Park.

WHO:

The dedication is in honor of Jim DiNapoli, co-founder and inaugural Chairman of the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District.
WHAT:

The City of Albany and the Downtown Albany BID will rename Maiden Lane Park on Tuesday, September 24 at 4:00 PM. Scheduled to speak are Mayor Gerald D. Jennings, Georgette Steffens, Executive Director of the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID), Ed Swyer, President of The Swyer Companies, and Greg DiNapoli.

Light refreshments and music will follow the park dedication.
